The syllabus, which is taught and examined at postgraduate level, covers strategic PR, PR Management and Professional Reflection.
Syllabus topics include:
PR as a management function;
theoretical approaches;
reputation management;
corporate social responsibility and stakeholder theory;
issues and crisis management;
planning process;
prioritising and targeting publics.
It is necessary to pass all three assessments in order to gain the award of CIPR Diploma. There will be two opportunities to retake any failed assessments.
