CIPR Foundation Award

Teaching comprises of 15 hours of lectures and workshops during which students will examine and discuss case-studies and current issues. Students are assessed in a three hour examination involving a report, a news release exercise and an essay.

The course comprises 3 main modules that are covered in 15 hours of tution.

Education to GCSE level (to include at least 5 passes at Grade C or above)

Plus, those whose first language is not English must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the language - spoken and written - to an International Language Testing System (IELTS) band score of 7.0 or above, or equivalent

* If you do not have the necessary GCSEs or GCEs you may still be accepted at the discretion of the CIPR on the basis of your professional experience (not necessarily in public relations). Please email academy@apeironacademy.com.

The first course starts from January 2011.

The fee for the Foundation Award held at Apeiron Academy, CIPR accredited qualifications center, is €492 (€590.4 + VAT).

A non-refundable application fee of €60 (either by bank transfer or credit card) must accompany applications. The payment deadline will be specified on your invoice.

This qualification is a recognised option that can be taken in an Advanced Apprenticeship in Marketing and Communication. This means that training organizations and employers can seek funding from their Local Learning Skills Councils (LSCs) to cover the costs of teaching their young work based/placed people in the basic skills and knowledge needed in PR.
