John Smythe
John Smythe is one of Europe's leading names (practitioner and author of books) in the field of internal communications and building effective strategies for employee engagement. He specializes in corporate communications and engagement. Co-founder of the consulting agency Engage for Change, he was responsible for institution relations in three major U.S. companies (Occidental Oil, Bechtel Corporation, and Marathon Oil). For years, he has been studying the contemporary approaches to engaging leaders and employees in the process of strategy implementation and organizational change. In 2007, his book "The CEO: Chief Engagement Officer" was awarded the Clarion Award (which recognizes the best examples of responsible communication on sustainable development, cultural inspiration, social inclusion and corporate social responsibility) for Book in the Best Learning category by the International Visual Communication Association (IVCA). |
